Philip O'Conor, Manager
Educated at the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester, Philip joined EP Cambridge UK in the early 1990s, where he was involved in exporting and stock selection in South America.
Philip was part of the Atlantic team responsible for discovering Highlander in Northern Chile, the world renowned stud male that went on to help establish the Australian alpaca industry.
Philip then spent five years in Australia converting a 200 acre beef farm into the now extremely successful Birnam Wood vineyard, part of Penmara Wines, in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales. Visit www.penmarawines.com.au to find out more.
In 1999, Philip returned to Atlantic and helped to establish their new base at Glyndebourne Farm in 2000. Since then, Philip's on-going role has been to oversee the growth and development of EP Cambridge UK and the continual improvement of the herd.
Philip is an active board member of the British Alpaca Society and is widely respected for his experience, expertise and passion to drive forward the alpaca industry in the UK.
